Caring for dogs truly is a family affair here — and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Why share the cuddles when you can enjoy every wag, snuggle, and happy greeting together?

I’m Jenni, and alongside my husband Gordon and our daughter Georgia, I own and manage In The Dog House. We’ve been welcoming and caring for other people’s dogs for over 10 years, offering a calm, loving, and secure home-from-home environment.

Gordon and I are now both retired from Police Scotland, and we bring the same professionalism, responsibility, and attention to detail from our careers into the care we provide today. Combined with my background in nursing, this experience allows us to offer a setting that is not only warm and affectionate, but also highly structured, safe, and dependable.

Our home is shared with our much-loved dogs — Lily, our gentle Rottweiler, and Poppy, our one-year-old miniature Dachshund, who keeps everyone entertained with her big personality.

We are all completely devoted to dogs. As a child, I was the one who couldn’t walk past any four-legged friend without stopping for a stroke, and Georgia is exactly the same. I have no doubt it won’t be long before she starts trying to bring strays home, just as I once did!

This shared love of dogs, paired with our experience and professional backgrounds, is at the heart of everything we do — ensuring every guest feels safe, relaxed, and truly cared for.
